Application rates

For agricultural uses

Usually 2 tonnes / acre are applied usually broadcast with a tractor + spreader.

For manual applications

For row crops 1 large handful will cover 3–4ft of row length. (For 30 cm row spacing this approximately applies 300-350 kg per acre).

For very degraded soils /carbon sequestration/ soil reclamation after mining, etc. this can be increased to 6–8 tons/acre. Broadcast the rock dust and mix it into the top 10cm of soil.
